The MidAmerica Regional Microgrid Education and Training Consortium (MARMET), as a member of the DOE SunShot GEARED Network, will develop new knowledge through research that will be integrated into microgrid education and training programs for students to enrich the present and future workforce. Research efforts will be focused in operational optimization, modeling and analysis, system architecture development, and ac/dc hybrid distribution systems. The research efforts will drive the curriculum development and through jointly offered courses, the consortium partners will be able to consolidate and organize a wide variety of expertise to provide a learning environment unrivaled by conventional educational settings.
